How the season works

Four easy steps

  1. Try a free clinic

No pressure and no experience needed. See upcoming clinics.

  2. Register online

    2027 registration is open. U6 is $99; U8–U14 is $279 early-bird through Dec 1, then $329. See programs & fees.

  3. Join USA Lacrosse

Every player needs a USA Lacrosse membership active through May 2027, which also provides player insurance. Join or renew.

  4. Come to practice

The season runs from late January to early April. Practice and game schedules will be shared in January 2027. Fields & schedule.

Start with U6

Our youngest players begin in U6, a co-ed program for girls and boys with no pads. The $99 fee includes a Hackees stick.

Older beginners are welcome too. U8 through U14 each have a girls division and a boys division.

Divisions use a Sept 1 birthdate cut-off each year. Born on or after: U6, Sept 1, 2020; U8, Sept 1, 2018; U10, Sept 1, 2016; U12, Sept 1, 2014; U14, Sept 1, 2012. See the full table.

What to expect

The game and the season

6v6 Olympic-style

We play fast-paced 6v6 lacrosse, the same style used in Olympic lacrosse. More touches and more fun for every player.

Schedules

Practice and game schedules will be shared in January 2027.

Play safe

We will not play in lightning, but we’ll do our best to make up any missed games.

Gear & rules

What does my child need?

U6 is a no-pads program, so you don’t need pads to start. Boys and girls play by different USA Lacrosse rules, and the gear differs by division.

U6 (co-ed)

Athletic shoes and water. The Redhawks provide a Hackees stick with registration.

Girls U8–U14

Cleats, mouthguard, goggles and a stick.

Boys U8–U14

Cleats, stick, mouthguard, gloves, elbow pads, chest protector and helmet.
